We are firmly in the loveliest stretch of September in the city—mild weather, kids getting back into the school day routine. They started back to school last Thursday, and Friday night at happy hour we kept it extremely simple with a stack of pizzas plus an EXCELLENT carrot cake from Billy’s Bakery for one of the kids’ birthdays—happy birthday, Mark!
I’ve mentioned that we’re moving this fall, and I’ll not bore you with all the details of it all, but just please assume that at any given moment of the foreseeable future, we are in a sea of decisions and take-or-donate piles, that I haven’t slept well in weeks, and that I regularly fantasize about just throwing everything we own in the garbage and starting over.
