Ten Books to Snuggle Up with This Week:
Here's to slow days, cozy blankets & excellent reading...
Hello from “what day is it?” week, aka the week between Christmas and New Year’s! We had a lovely, cozy Christmastime—tons of cooking and baking, great time with friends, Zooms and FaceTimes with both sides of out-of-town family on Christmas morning—Aaron always asks the nieces and nephews to show everyone their favorite present, and it’s always a sweet and very chaotic call ;)
A few other little highlights from our corner:
The Bonne Maman Advent Calendar.
When the kids were little, we did the Lego advent calendar and that was always a hit, but in our last apartment, when you added in the tree and the stockings and the nativity, there just wasn’t an easy place for an advent calendar, so for a few years we got out of the habit.
This year, however, I had just the spot in mind, and I ordered the Bonne Maman Advent Calendar, where you open a little window & pull out a tiny jar of jam each day, and I have to say it was a real delight—first thing every morning, Henry opened the jam while I made toast, and then we taste-tested each new jar. Yesterday I found myself missing that routine a little bit—the toast, the tiny jam, the early morning chats about our jam highs and lows. Highly recommend.
